Wedge prisms can be used individually to deflect a laser beam at a set angle, or two can be combined for beam steering. A single prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter deflecting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. Two prisms can also be used for beam shaping or steering within a circle, by rotating them independently. Beam deviation is shown in degrees and diopters, with 1 diopter equating to 1cm of deviation at 1m.
