50s Woolrich Ombre Check Flannel Shirt Vintage Wool
This vintage piece, featuring the iconic white sheep logo on a black background, is from the "black tag" era, also known as the "sheep tag" era. "MFR. 1951" indicates the manufacturing year (Manufactured: 1951).
I found this at a truck-based vintage clothing shop at the Osaka Nanko Flea Market over 20 years ago.
I was immediately drawn to the vibrant green and black ombre check, which, upon closer inspection, wasn't a block check. I bought it on the spot. I remember buying it along with other flannel shirts in a box.
Considering the shirt is estimated to be about 75 years old, it's in surprisingly good condition.
