Gate latches are designed for out-swinging gates and gates where a self-closing latch is desired. Gate latch bar can be mounted on the gate or post for added versatility. It can be used for left or right hand installations and can be used with a padlock for security. The small fixing hole in the release lever is for rigging a cable (not included), which would release the latch from the opposite side of the door. You must drill a hole through the post for Rigging Cable installation.
