The Bracken's Brown Beauty is an evergreen magnolia known for its large, saucer-shaped, fragrant flowers and dense, uniform growth habit. The foliage is dark green on top and a beautiful coppery-brown underneath. Many horticulturists consider this one of the best Southern Magnolia cultivars. The tree produces huge, 8-inch-diameter, waxy, fragrant, white blossoms in late spring and sporadically throughout the summer. Making a striking garden specimen, ‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’ Southern Magnolia can also serve as a dense screen or windbreak. Its ease of growth and carefree nature make Southern Magnolia ideal for the low-maintenance landscape. This magnolia has a medium growth-rate, reaching about 50 feet tall with a 20 feet spread. It is hardy to 5 degrees. USDA ZONES: Zone 6, Zone 7, Zone 8, Zone 9.
