Fantastic set for that occasion that calls for a bit of opulence. The shawl is a good size at 76cm (30”) wide by 180cm (71”). The shawl has plenty of material to save you from the sun or wind or simply keep the chill away. The material is polyester but like chiffon it has a degree of transparency, there is an iridescence to the material too. The matching hat is a beautiful organza material with a black edging to it. The brim has a diameter of 41 cm (16”) and the actual brim measures 14cm (5.5”) deep. There’s a lovely frill to the brim that sits on the upper side. The central wide band around the hat meets at the side in a bow detail with several loops, ivory pearl strands emerge from the centre of this. The hat has an elastic ties for keeping it securely on the head if needed. There are ties in the head band that enable the hat to be adjusted and made smaller; this hat fits 56-58cm (22-23”). This hat has a capability to be packed in a case and when brought back out it can be reshaped to the original, great for keeping those luggage costs down. Brand new unworn condition, sold as set cannot be split!
