These innovative Pin and Sleeve Mechanical Interlocks combine a disconnect switch and pin and sleeve receptacle in a compact, non-metallic unit, ensuring maximum safety by preventing users from connecting or disconnecting a live circuit. Hubbell's interlock system detects a plug's presence and prevents its removal when the switch is on. Featuring a visible red handle that can be locked in the 'OFF' position for OSHA lockout/tagout compliance, and a lockable enclosure door for security, these devices boast a rugged, corrosion-resistant Type 4X PBT housing with adjustable mounting feet. The receptacle's spring-loaded cover with gasket is dust-tight and provides a watertight seal when locked. The patented Plug-Check mechanism detects the plug, acting as a clutch to engage the handle with the switch and capture the plug, preventing its removal until the switch is off.
