GEMPLER’S Rust Converter chemically converts rust into an inert, black protective barrier which also acts as a primer, the treated surface can then be painted over using an oil-based paint in just 48hrs. Alternatively the treated surface may instead be left unpainted if not exposed to direct weather elements. How to use: Use a wire brush to remove loose or layered scale and rust, then apply GEMPLER’S Rust Converter with an Airless Sprayer (recommended) or Handheld Compression Sprayer in even amounts. No sandblasting, heavy scraping or grinding required. Apply three coats for optimum coverage. Irregular, porous or textured surfaces may require more applications. Coverage: One gallon covers up to 300 sq. ft. on a smooth surface.
