Kantha is a uniquely "quilted" texture made from layering colorful vintage Indian cotton fabrics together. The kantha quilts are also being used as a raw material in Jackets, Hand Bags and other accessories manufacturing. As this is vintage made up of old clothes (5-20 Yrs old) so rare stains or slight odour is expected. We think that's part of there charm and its uniqueness. The showcased product is a package of 5 pieces. Since the kantha quilts are made from vintage saris, no two quilts would be same. We SHALL SEND ASSORTED COLORS AND DESIGNS. These are hand stitched using running colorful embroidery known as kantha stitches all over on 3 layered vintage sarees by the rural women from Rajasthan & Bengal in India. They work painstakingly throughout day and night making these quilts from their own favorite sari and sew the multiple layers providing a vibrant look to the quilts. Each of the quilt is unique and is one of a kind which makes these quilt blankets special and exquisite. No two kantha quilts would be the same. After spending hours and hours daily one a single quilt, a woman takes anytime between 5-12 days to complete one quilt. Each of these quilts is reversible and can be used from both sides. Since these are made from vintage saris, there are imperfections and also small patches are used to repair any torn parts in the quilts. These imperfections are the beauty of the vintage quilts and are considered their speciality. All these quilts are ethically made and no child is ever used in the manufacturing process.

• Special Remarks: Available only in Assorted Colors. It has three layers of old recycled sarees stitched together with thousands of delicate fine running kantha stitches. Two good condition fabric are placed on both side of quilt and small pieces of fabric are places in between making a three layer quilt, if both sides of fabric is thick then the third layer is not put inside. Each vintage sari fabric has been washed before making the quilt and has not been used in its kantha throw form.
