PFERD mounted flap wheels feature coated abrasive flaps arranged radially around a central shaft in a fan-like structure. The flexible flaps conform easily to surface contours, making them ideal for universal grinding applications ranging from coarse stock removal to fine finishing. The abrasive grain is securely bonded to a durable, flexible cloth backing using a high-quality resinoid bond for consistent performance and long service life. Designated in ISO 3919 as “flap wheels with shaft,” these mounted flap wheels deliver a consistently high stock removal rate throughout their entire service life, as fresh, aggressive abrasive is continuously exposed during use. The flat, molded-core design allows face-down grinding very close to edges and into corners for greater versatility and precision.
