Predicament by All in the Wild

In the heart of Aberdeen, Saskatchewan, a dramatic scene unfolded between a predator and its prey. This was no ordinary day; it was a test of patience and timing. I, a photographer with a passion for snowy owls, witnessed this spectacle. These birds, while beautiful, are also quite elusive and cautious. This particular owl was perched atop a power pole, repeatedly flying down to the ground and back up, its behavior piquing my curiosity. Through my binoculars, I couldn't quite make out what was happening, so I ventured into the field for a closer look. The field, though swathed, still held grain, and with each step, a mouse would dart out. The owl, it turned out, was hunting these mice, flying down to flush them out and then hovering, waiting for its next meal.
