The Ella Flower Box also features a built-in Water-Minder Reservoir. Plants can pull up water as they need with less frequent watering. For outdoor use, the base of this planter is slightly elevated and contains a removeable rubber stopper. This provides optimum drainage for plants and prevents over watering and root-rot. Potting Media Recommendation: Add a small amount of perlite medium around the outside of the water-minder area. Finish filling the planter to the bottom of the rim with a light to medium weight potting mix. Routinely adding plant food, according to plant’s directions, will dramatically increase the health, beauty and fullness of the plants in your Ella Flowerbox.
