This set includes one Sd Kfz 234/4 (PaK40) Armored Car and two Crew figures. While German armored car designs of World War II were generally suitable, crews often complained about insufficient firepower. In late 1944, Hitler ordered the production shift from Sd Kfz 234/3 to Sd Kfz 234/4, which featured a 7.5cm PaK40 anti-tank gun instead of the 7.5cm KwK51 L/24. The PaK40, complete with gun shield but without wheels, was mounted centrally, transforming the vehicle into a wheeled tank destroyer. However, the design had limitations: the PaK40's traverse was restricted, only 12 rounds could be stored at a time, and the open fighting compartment exposed the crew to small arms fire and shell fragments. Despite these issues, production continued until March 1945. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and may require assembly.
