The regular Halcyon formula dries to a clear gloss finish with a slight amber tone that has the beauty of a traditional marine spar varnish, but with greater clarity, abrasion resistance & sun protection. It enhances the natural wood grain and won't turn cloudy or hazy. The more coats applied, the richer and warmer the finish. Halcyon Clear cures to a gloss or satin finish with a natural tone that won't discolor lighter woods or muddy the grain of darker woods. It enhances the grain and won't leave it stale and dimensionless like other clear finishes can. For a satin finish, build with coats of gloss and finish with clear satin. This one part polyurethane wood varnish needs no mixing—just pour it out of the bag and it's ready to apply by brushing, rolling or spraying. Halcyon's forgiving formula flows smoothly, lays down evenly & dries fast so you can finish varnishing in hours, not days or weeks. Recoat in as little as 1 hour and apply up to 5 coats in 1 day, no sanding between coats. For interior applications, apply at least 2-4 coats; at least 4-6 coats for exterior.
